Sullivan Buick Pontiac GMC Inc, formerly Bill Sullivan Pontiac, has selected the PCG Digital Marketing to head up their Internet Marketing and search engine optimization campaign.  The new Automotive SEO contract coincided with their merger with Joe Mitchell Buick GMC which closed in August 2008.

The initial SEO strategies will be to rebrand the dealership to inform Cook County and DuPage County GM car shoppers that the Sullivan Arlington Heights dealership now offers Buick and GMC cars.  Additional complexity was added on this project as Sullivan switched from a Dealerskins automotive website platform to one created by Cobalt.

“There are four or five moving parts on this project all which will make our work even more important” commented Brian Pasch, CEO and founder. ‘With Sullivan going through a name change and a website platform change at the same time creates unique challenges.”  In Sullivan’s case, switching from Dealerskins to Cobalt means all the inside web pages once indexed by Google will now have to be redirected to a new page.  Those internal page links will drop out of the Google and Yahoo index in the coming weeks and the reindexing process will begin.  This will create a drop in organic traffic but PCG has a plan to counterbalance that drop.

“We have created a targeted Pay-Per-Click campaign for every car that they offer in their expanded GM line.  Since Sullivan did not have an effective PPC campaign previously, this paid Internet marketing strategy will transition the dealership with steady lead growth with the new website gets reindexed organically.” commented Stacey Berlin, VP of Internet Marketing at PCG.

In addition to their existing website at www.billsullivan.com the PCG Digital Marketing has also created a new marketing website located at www.dealerillinois.com.  The website will feature all three brands of cars with dedicated pages for each car with easy to manage quote forms.  The car featured on the website are:

• GMC Cars

The Sullivan Buick Pontiac GMC dealership is located in Arlington Heights and serves neighboring communities like Buffalo Grove, Wheeling, Lincolnshire and Lake Zurich. The expanded dealership is under the management of Ariel Szwec.
