Innovative Dealer Summit Attendees Attacked

September 8, 2010 (Denver) – Brian Pasch, CEO of PCG Digital Marketing, will address attendees of the Innovative Dealer Summit at 2:00 pm today and explain why they are under attack.  The Innovative Dealer Summit attracts hundreds of car dealers throughout Colorado and adjacent states for a high powered one day training and mentoring symposium.

According to Brian Pasch, “Car dealers across the United States are under attack from competitors and hostile parties. Car dealer websites are being pushed off Page One in search engine results by larger websites that employ search engine optimization strategies.  Dealers for the most part are unaware of this attack let alone know how to defend themselves.”

Car Dealers Under Attack

The Attack Witnessed in Denver

Pasch commenting on the problem stated, “When I arrived in Denver yesterday, I conducted a Google search for “2008 Hyundai Sonata Denver” and not one Hyundai dealership showed on Page One organic search results in Google.  I did another search for “2008 Chevrolet Silverado” and not a single Chevrolet dealership appeared on Page One organic listings”.

Pasch will be sharing his research and real-time data to present his case that car dealers need to have a strategy to stay relevant and appear on Page One search results.  Since over 90% of consumers research a new or used car purchase online, dealers who do not appear on Page One for popular searches will receive less website visits and sales.

Automotive Advertising Pointing Consumers to Competitors

Addressing fellow speakers at the Innovative Dealer Summit Speaker’s Reception last evening, Pasch added “Dealers are spending thousands of dollars a month on traditional automotive advertising to create brand awareness for their dealership name.  Dealers are often shocked to see what appears on Page One for a search on their dealership name. ”

“Our data shows that 70% of Page One, on average, is not controlled by the dealer.  They are in effect driving traffic to their competitors because even their name is under attack.”  Among the competitive elements found one Page One are lead collectors, reviews sites, optimized competitor sites, and bait and switch portals.

The Innovative Dealer Summit is an intense, one day 12-hour conference organized by the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).  The event, organized by Tim Jackson of the CADA, is recognized as an innovator in attracting the automotive industries top speakers and leaders to this event.
